Usually contains some kind of sensor or actuator. Communicates with one or more Application Servers through the LoRa Connect infrastructure. Developers create their own firmware need to make sure it is Lora WAN compliant: https://github.com/Lora-net/LoRaMac-node. Encryption of the data will happen here as specified in the LoRaWAN specifications. LoRaMote is an example of a device that can be used as a reference device for developers to examine the end 2 end connectivity. [b]LoRa RF[/b] Communication between Device and Gateway is using Radio Frequency (RF), usually the 868 Mhz [b]LoRa Gateway[/b] The LoRa Gateway collects data from the devices and is able to talk back to the devices. The Semtech LoRaMote is often used as a reference device for KPN LoRa. The payload of the Mote consists of a hexadecimal string that can be decoded into temperature, pressure & location values, among a few others. [i] Note that one byte is two hexadecimal characters, so byte and byte are the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th character in your hexadecimal payload. [/i]

To calculate the coordinates of the LoRaMote the following calculation is needed: The Latitude and Longitude are embedded in the Payload (Payload HEX) Latitude: Byte-Byte, for instance: 4a0d76 Longitude: Byte-Byte, for instance: 031845 To convert the HEX values into usable coordinates you can use the following calculation: Convert HEX to Decimal. LAT: 4a0d76 => 4853110 LONG: 031845 => 202821 To convert the decimal value into a usable coordinate you can use the following calculations for the Latitude and Longitude Latitude: LAT * (90 / 2^23) For instance: 4853110 * ( 90 / 2^23) = 52,068221569066 =/= 52,068222 Longitude: LONG * (180 / 2^23) For instance: 202821 * (180 / 2^23) = 4,3520665168762 =/= 4,352067 Now you have the coordinates, which can be used by for instance [url=https://www.google.nl/maps/?q=52.068222%2C4.352067]Google Maps[/url].
Hello, I am an student doing research on Lora Mote. I have also get a lora Gateway device which is indoor currently. I first program the Mote with the GUI of "LoraMacConfig". The Lora device is found by KPN wlogger. The spreading factor is 9. Afterwards, I use the program "LoRa_Keil5LoRaMac-node-masterKeilLoRaMoteLoRaMacclassA" downloaded fromthe website GitHub "LoRa™ network". The behavior shows some difference. The LoraMote works not as stable as prorammed with LoraMacCofig. The spreading factor drops mostly to 12 and some times recovered up to 7. In the attached the photo show the behaviour difference. Anyboday has some idea how this difference is caused? Is there a way to improve the Mote behavior with the classA code? Thank You!
