Unable to find valid certification path

While testing the uplink to my https server I got the message:

Server returned HTTP response code -1

Response info:
Error in sending rest post to developer url https://XXXXX.nl, for device 83D6828ADAB95F42, payloadhex 000000. Error details: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException unable to find valid certification path to requested target

I checked my site with ssllabs.com and it seems there are no problems.
I also checked my website online, and it's ok too including the certificate.
What can I do next ?

Goodmorning @EricRF ,

Welcome to the IoT Community!
Of course I'll help you to fix this. I looked up this device in your account and I see that the destionation url is different than you mentioned in this topic. Is it correct that you have entered a fictional destination url above ?

I've checked the destination url in ssllabs.com and i see that there is something wrong. And don't know exactly what is wrong and how to fix this so i asked help from our LoRa specialists. When i get their advise and tips i will come back to you!
I changed the url to a temporary url because I could not get the multi***.in url get to work.
thank you,

I see that you know changed the destination url again and the device seems to work now?

I can see no more error on this device. Can you please test it again?

Still the same error...

Hi @EricRF,

Thanks for checking!
In the meantime discussed this error with our specialists. They couldn't find right away what's going wrong. But we want to ask you if you can test your device with a Webhook endpoint ?

With this we can test whether the error is in the application server or not. We suspect that there is something wrong with your application server
Webhook works fine...

My application server is a Synology DS918+ webserver, and a Comodo certificate, I works fine for many years,
I host many websites on it, never had any problems....

Hi @EricRF ,

I discussed it again with the specialists. If the webhook site works correctly but the own application server doesn’t, in 99% of the cases the cause is the certificate. The fact that websites can be correctly hosted and reached on the address, doesn’t mean it is accepted as secure enough for LoRa communication. For your reference: below you can find the differences in certificate security of the application servers that are used by you and the one we suggested for a test.
