pre-paid sim: activated but unable to make or receive calls
Hello, I have activated a pre-paid Kpn sim card today, I received the activation message from KPN, but I can only use the internet data. I cannot call anywhere or receive call from or outside the Netherlands. I can only call 1200 number, but this does not help, since the help service is only in Dutch. P.s my card expires in 2019. Can anyone help me?😭

Nice to read that you have chosen a prepaid SIM card from KPN. It is strange that the SIM card does not work. I like to find out where the problem lies. Would you like to send me a private message with the mobile phone number?

Thank you for sending me the phonenumber via a private message. I see that the SIM card is activated. Maybe an unnecessary question but have you upgrade the SIM card with calling credit?
Perhaps a setting needs to be changed in your phone. To be sure, Could you place the SIM card in another phone and try to call?

Hi Rashid, I had tried it in another phone but it didn't work for 2 days. Then I went to a KPN store and we tried it again there and it worked! The employee told me it was very strange that it could not work for 2 days, apparently it needed 2 days to get activated.Thanks anyway for the help. By the way, one more question: Will I be able to use this card for calling and receiving calls when I am abroad as well? E.g in Greece or in any other European Country? And I mean calling and receiving calls from dutch or greek numbers, when being outside the Netherlands? Cus I read here many comments about clients not being able to use their prepaid sim outside the Netherlands

You can ask me as many questions as you like Thea! Yes, it is possilble to receive calls and for calling when you're abroad. Keep in mind that calling abroad will effect your credit very quickly. If you are abroad, you use different rates, namely special foreign rates. With the prepaid foreign bundles from KPN, you stay in touch with the home front at low prices.
