LTE-M: Roaming & International availability
As we are getting quite some questions about the status of roaming for LTE-M we thought it a good idea to put something online. We will update it when there is news or something to share.
Note: This announcement is in English as the information requests are from all over the world.
• Status: KPN started with roaming in Q3 2018. Currently we have roaming agreements with AT&T US, Orange Belgium, Orange France, Swisscom. and Telstra Australia.
Update 2021: new roaming agreements with:
-
- Spark --> New Zealand
- Softbank --> Japan
- Telenor --> Denmark
- Telefonica --> Spain
- DNA --> Finland
- Tele2 → Zweden
• Planning: The roaming rollout goes per operator. At this stage we cannot disclose with which operators we are working on roaming, but we will update the list above when new roaming agreements are made.
• International availability: normally every commercially available IoT network is listed on the website of the GSMA
• Priority: We seek to provide our customers with a complete roaming portfolio for LTE-M, starting with Europe. However, business case driven roaming candidates get priority in our roadmap.
We’re working very hard to deliver our LTE-M network with the quality you expect from KPN. We will inform you as soon as we can about updates regarding the availability of roaming.
For current LTE-M roaming partners see the list below.
